Our Story

Founded in 2019, The Ssenoga Foundation emerged from a deep commitment to address the intersecting challenges of education and nutrition, in Uganda's most vulnerable communities.

What began as a small initiative to support orphans in Kampala District has grown into a comprehensive development organization impacting thousands of children and families across eight districts.

Our name honors the legacy of Mr Ssenoga Vincent, whose generational commitment to community empowerment inspired us to create lasting change through education and agricultural innovation.

Our programs are designed to create multiplier effects - educating a child who then shares agricultural knowledge with their family, who then improves yields to support children's education.

Growing up in rural Uganda, I witnessed firsthand how the cycle of poverty could be broken with access to education and sustainable agriculture. What began as a simple desire to help orphans in my community has blossomed beyond my wildest dreams.

"When you educate a child and teach them to farm, you don't just change their life - you transform entire communities for generations."

Our foundation's work is deeply personal. Every child in our programs represents the potential I saw in myself and my siblings. With your support, we're writing new stories of hope across Uganda - stories where children thrive, families are nourished, and communities flourish.
